Our tours along Portuguese Way to Santiago de Compostela

The route along the Portuguese Way starts from the Portuguese capital Lisbon, and traces a line from south to north, passing by Santarém, Coimbra, Porto, Barcelos, Ponte de Lima, Valença do Minho, Tui, Pontevedra and Padrón.

The Portuguese route is popular and the most well-known. But there are also other routes to Santiago from Portugal. The most frequented are old tributary routes or variants of the Central Way. Starting in Porto, the Portuguese Way follows the coastline closely.

To these Jacobean routes, it is possible to include others in central Portugal, like the Portuguese Interior Way, that joins the Sanabresa variant of the Silver Way in Verín, the Zamorano-Portuguese Way or the Torres Way.

This road is straightforward, without any differences in level difficulty. It is very well signposted (especially in Galician territory). The number of establishments is growing which provide a wide range of public and private hostels, especially in Porto.
