Galicia, a land that touches the soul

Have you ever been to a place and been amazed? If you have never felt this sensation, we recommend you to visit Galicia.

Its green landscapes, its estuaries, its medieval architecture, its people… this corner in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula is much more than a tourist destination; it has a special magic that traps us, making us always want to return.

Each of the four Galician provinces has something special, so where to start? We’ll give you some ideas…

If you are a Nature lover and you love natural landscapes, you can’t miss the Ribeira Sacra, in the south of the province of Lugo and in the north of Ourense. You will be impressed to see its imposing canyons and steep slopes along the rivers Cabe, Sil and Miño.

A land where Romanesque art left its mark in beautiful monasteries, such as Santo Estevo de Ribas de Sil, nestled in a forest of centenary chestnut trees and today converted into a parador de turismo.

Nearby are also the monasteries of Santa Cristina de Ribas de Sil and San Pedro de Rocas, both in almost impenetrable forests … and in contrast to this location in the middle of nature, are the monasteries of Xunqueira de Espadañedo, Montederramo and Monforte de Lemos (both in urban centers).

You cannot leave without tasting the Mencía wine, typical of this region with a long winemaking tradition.

Another route of incalculable interest that we can undoubtedly do to know Galicia is the Camino de Santiago: the most significant pilgrimage of the origins of Europe.

Are you already thinking about doing this route? In Pambre Tours we encourage you to join us to undertake the adventure… to live in contact with Nature and with other pilgrims, to know the history of the towns through their art and to contemplate the majestic Cathedral before making our offering to the Apostle, will be unforgettable moments.

Do you like the mountains? Disconnecting is easy in places like Trevinca and its glacial lakes, the paradise of any mountaineer. Its landscapes are true postcard images that change season after season.

On the other hand, if you are more into beaches and coastal landscapes, in Galicia you will undoubtedly find some of the most beautiful in the north of the peninsula. The beaches of the Rías Baixas, Costa da Morte and Mariña Lucense are some of the destinations not to be missed.

And what about the white sandy beaches of Vigo, O Grove, Sanxenxo or the beautiful Atlantic islands: Cies, Ons and Sálvora? Their crystal clear waters and paradisiacal beauty invite us to daydream.

Of course you can’t leave without tasting the delicious fish and seafood typical of these lands.

Galicia is a real box of surprises, do you dare to discover it with us? Disconnect from everything else and let Galicia touch your soul, come and discover it!
