PRICE: per person in double room: 530€
Single room supplement: 370€

We propose a Camino that begins next to the sea , in the modernist neighborhood of a Magdalena in Ferrol. You will follow the route that pilgrims once began in the port of Ferrol after arriving there by sea. A path with history awaits you, you will see it in Pontedeume and Betanzos, landscapes also await you, and of course an extraordinary local gastronomy.

Until now all of our tours were always organized, with guides, support vehicles, and all services included.

But we recognize that there are people who prefer not to have a guide and others who simply don’t like group trips. For them we have created this service. Wich consist in organizing the Camino de Santiago in a way they can do i ton their own, staying in rooms with private bathroom and breakfast included, in the same towns the stage ends (or nearby). We will take care of the luggage transfer between the stages, so you only carry your backpack during the walk.

Tour includes

Itinerario día a día

Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela (104km). 7 days – 6 nights
Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela (112km). 8 days – 7 nights

The stage from Ferrol to Pontedeume (27.7km) can be divided in two:
Ferrol – Neda (14.6 km) and Neda – Pontedeume (13.1 km)

This tour would be 8 days and 7 nights with a price of:
610€ Or cross the river by the bridge Ferrol – Pontedeume (19,5Km).

This itinerary gives you the opportunity to walk the last 100 km in Santiago. This is a necessary requirement to obtain the Compostela, the certificate granted by the church of Santiago at the end of the pilgrimage.

Day: 1

Arrive in Ferrol on your own. In the accommodation you will find the necessary documentation for your Tour. (Pilgrim's credential, route maps, list of accommodations, contact telephone numbers, etc.).

Day: 2

Ferrol – Pontedeume (bridge route) 19,5 Km
With the landscape of the estuary as your travel companion, you will walk until you reach Pontedeume, by the Eume river and very close to its well known Fragas.

Día: 3

Pontedeume – Betanzos: 20,2 km.
Like night and day, unlike the previous stages, in this one we will have to walk along very steep paths that can be muddy in many cases. However, the beauty of the Atlantic forest and the medieval towns through which we will pass will undoubtedly compensate for the effort we will have to make. Like Pontedeume, Betanzos awaits us protected within its ancient walls, declared a historic-artistic complex along with the rest of the historic center.

Day: 4

Betanzos – Hospital de Bruma: 27,8 km.
On this Camino each stage adds up on both kilometers and difficulty, we leave behind the urban centers to enter the Atlantic forests fulls of oak and pines.

Unlike in the previous days, we will have to stock up well at the exit from Betanzos since we will travel through several kilometers with the only company of nature.

Day: 5

Hospital de Bruma – Sigüeiro: 24 km.
Compared to the previous stage, if you come from Ferrol, we will travel the approximately twenty-five kilometers that separate Bruma from Sigüeiro mostly along descending dirt and paved roads, with a multitude of services available to pilgrims along the Camino. We are already very close to the capital of Compostela and this is noticeable both in the influx of pilgrims and in the number of establishments aimed at them.

Day: 6

Sigüeiro – Santiago de Compostela: 16,7 km.
Last stage of the Camino, we can almost see the towers of the Cathedral, wich is only about four hours away. The access to the city is not ideal, since we will have to cross through an industrial estate, but the spectacular Compostela city will encourage us in these last few meters to finally reach the long awaited Cathedral and the charming old town that surrounds it.

Day: 7

Breakfast. End of services.

It can be requested. Extension of the route to FINISTERRE and/or MUXIA. additional nights in Santiago de Compostela and take day trips to Finisterre (Costa da Morte) and/or Rias Baixas.
