Participate with PAMBRE TOURS in our programmed route totally adapted to your needs so that you can fully enjoy the Camino de Santiago. There are as many pilgrims as reasons to do the Camino: religious feelings, personal improvement or a different vacation. Whatever your reason is, traveling with us, you will discover the most authentic of culture, gastronomy and the different kinds of people who will welcome you on your way to the heart of Galicia, Santiago de Compostela.

We did the Camino de Santiago for the first time in 2000 and since then we decided to take groups to enjoy this wonderful experience.

Until now our Tours were always organized, with guides, support vehicle, first class accommodation and all services included for the greater comfort of our fellow travelers.

But we recognize that there are people who prefer not to have a guide and others who simply do not like group trips. For them we created this service which consists of organizing the Camino de Santiago for them to do it on their own, staying in Hotels, Pazos, hostels, pensions and / or hostels in rooms with private bathroom and breakfast included, in the same towns where they end the stages (or neighborhoods). We will take care of organizing the transfer of luggage between stages, so that you only carry a small backpack during the walk.

Tours Include

Itinerary Day by Day

This itinerary gives you the opportunity to walk the last 100 km in Santiago. A necessary requirement to obtain the Compostela, the certificate granted by the Cathedral of Santiago at the end of the pilgrimage.

Day: 1

Arrival in Sarria (Lugo)

Arrive Sarria on your own. In the accommodation you will find the necessary documentation for your TOUR. (Pilgrim's credential, route plans, accommodation list, contact phone numbers, etc.).

Day: 2

Sarria - Portomarín 22 km.

Countless villages of the Concellos of Sarria, Paradela and Portomarín, good examples of Romanesque, paved neighborhood tracks, rural paths, medieval bridges and rustic walkways, also you will pass through the mythical marker of kilometer 100.

You will see San Nicolás de Portomarín, a fortress temple built in the XIII century that belonged to the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem and was rebuilt stone by stone in the current place, due to the construction of the Belesar dam.

Day: 3

Portomarín – Palas de Rei 25 km.

Today the path starts with an ascent in its first half, where you will find forests full of eucalyptus trees, the rest is done along modest, provincial and even national roads. However, good examples of Romanesque churches enliven the trip. You will pass through towns such as: GONZAR, where you will find Santa María de Gonzar one of the 20 parishes of the Portomarín Council, further up, in Castromaior, you will find yourself in an area of Celtic forts that can give you an image of what Galicia was like before it was conquered By the Romans.

Finally at PALAS DE REI: The history of Palas de Rei goes back to remote times, there are also Celtic forts existing in its municipal area and its locaated on the Roman road XIX Lugo-Astorga. That was an important place in the Middle Ages where pilgrims used to gather to face the last sections of the Jacobean route.

Day: 4

Palas de Rei – Arzua 29,2 km

Following the path, you will cross the Pambre river (the place that gives our company its name). The itinerary crosses the limits of Lugo to enter the province of A Coruña through the village of O Coto; You pass through Leboreiro, and cross the beautiful Romanesque bridge named “four eyes of Furelos”, then you will arrive the city of Melide, link with the Primitivo path, place where you can rest and eat an appetizing octopus, which it is boiled in large cauldrons in the middle of the road.

Leaving MELIDE you will pass through beautiful villages and cross the river Iso through an idyllic medieval bridge, closely linked to the history of the Camino de Santiago, and finally Arzúa.

RECOMMENDATION: For those with less physical preparation or who simply do not want to do such a long stage, we recommend to divide this stage in two, ending the stage in MELIDE.

Day: 5

Arzua – O´Pedrouzo 19,4 km

In this stage they will pass through the towns of Calzada, Boa Vista, Salceda, Santa Irene and A Rua. The most unique enclave is Santa Irene, with its hermitage dedicated to the Portuguese Saint Martyr and a Baroque fountain of healing waters.

Day: 6

O’ Pedrouzo – Santiago de Compostela 19,8 km.

Finally Santiago, the desired end is there, just half a day away. As soon as you leave Pedrouzo behind, a sixth sense lets us know that this is over. There is any force on earth that prevents us from achieving our goal.

In Santiago the happy walker discovers a city of stones obscured by the passage of time and persistent rain. Old roads with the smell of Ribeiro and octopus are scattered throughout the Old Town. The cathedral represents the culmination of the Way and the apostle rests in it, causing hundreds of thousands of people to undertake year after year a journey full of fatigue and experiences that will become memories for a lifetime.

Day: 7

Santiago de Compostela Breakfast and end of our services.

The route can optionally be extended to FINISTERRE and / or MUXIA. You can request additional nights in Santiago de Compostela and take day trips to Finisterre (Costa da Morte) and / or Rias Baixas.
